About programme:
Many composers have turned to the music of the past to find inspiration for their own work. In the famous composition by the Polish minimalist composer Wojciech Kilar, listeners will hear folk music. We do not yet know what the new composition by Czech composer Kryštof Marek will sound like, as it will be heard in its world premiere. However, it will certainly be interesting to listen to its interpretation by two cellists of the West Bohemian Symphony Orchestra, for whom it is composed, as it were, to the body: Daniel Petrásek and Vladimír Kubálek. In the second half of the programme, we will go back more than 200 years to explore the music of the nineteen-year-old Franz Schubert, who is considered to be the direct successor of Ludwig van Beethoven. At 6.30 pm we will have a discussion with composer Kryštof Marek.
